I can assure you that any one of my community, even though he’s illiterate and has to have it read to him and translated into his language, can learn many lessons from it, because he has no difficulty understanding what reality is and what the difference is between the paradise up above, in Heaven, and the reality of our people here on Earth.

Är du säker på att det här är en bra bok att citera?
Nej.
Men det behöver jag inte vara. Jag publicerar ju inte boken, utan endast ett citat ur den. Det betyder inte att jag till fullo håller med om allt som står i boken, eller ens i citatet, utan bara att citatet enligt min mening innehåller en tänkvärd tanke eller synvinkel. Längre än så sträcker sig inte mitt ansvar.
Det betyder förstås att jag i princip kan tänka mig att citera t.ex. Koranen, Mormons bok eller Maos lilla röda, om det skulle finnas någon god och välformulerad tanke i dem.
